Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.
Wholehearted Birth Support was founded to provide compassionate, inclusive, and trauma-informed doula care for every stage of your family building journey. You deserve to feel informed, supported, and empowered - knowing that your story, your identity, and path to parenthood are respected and held with care.
I’m Danielle, the founder of Wholehearted Birth Support. I am a trained Birth, Postpartum, and NICU-Informed Doula and a Certified Perinatal Doula through the state of RI.
As a clinical social worker, my roots have always been in advocacy and empowerment. I’ve spent over a decade supporting children and adults experiencing trauma, and I bring that same lens into birth work - creating trauma-informed, empowerment rich environments where you can feel safe, seen, and supported.
I believe birth work is heartwork. I deeply honor the sacred nature of birth and the often winding and beautifully varied ways in which families too, are born and grow. Supporting families in arriving at informed choices that respect their unique needs, values, culture, and family traditions is central to creating an empowering birth experience.
It would be an honor to walk alongside you and your family during this meaningful time.

Land Acknowledgement
I work on the lands and waters of Cumberland, RI, the ancestral homelands of the Wôpanâak (Wampanoag), Pauquunaukit (Pokanoket), and Nipmuc peoples. I acknowledge that I live and work on this place and that I move between Rhode Island and Massachusetts, on lands and waters that have been stewarded and cared for by Indigenous peoples since time immemorial. I commit to honoring this sacred tradition of care and to carrying it forward in my own life - by teaching my children about this land and the peoples who have always cared for it and by committing to caring for the land and waters that hold us all. May my presence here be one of respect, continuous learning, and responsibility.
